Meet our Café Manager, Anna Maslon

Once a month we profile someone from our team and introduce them so that you can get to know us better. This month, it is our cafe manager’s turn.
What was your first job?
I got my first job at the age of 13. I spent the summer working as a sales assistant in a local drugstore.
What are the highlights of your career so far?
I’m very proud of the fact that I’ve mentored my team to move up in the company and grow their skills.
What do you love about your job?
I love meeting people who I would never had a chance to meet outside the work. Also I really enjoy the fast paced environment.
What is your best tip for those who want to have a career in events?
It’s not just a job, it’s a lifestyle.
What are your tips for a successful event?
There really are no secrets to success! Success is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
Panic is your worst enemy.
What’s your favourite place in Edinburgh?
I’m afraid I don’t really have one. In Edinburgh there is always somewhere to go, something to see and something to do. It doesn’t matter what the time of the year it is, what the weather is like or what state of mind you are in. This city has so much to offer, so it is impossible to choose a favourite place.
What is your most treasured procession?
My most treasured possessions are happy memories with family and friends.
