What was your first job?
AG: A Cooper.
MB: A paper round!
What are the highlights of your career so far?
AG: Making every event work, sometimes you have to overcome a few challenges as not every event is the same.
MB: The honour and privilege to meet and work with so many talented artists.
What do you love about your job?
AG: The variety of challenges we face.
MB: Every day is different.
What is your best tip for those who want to enter your field?
AG: Keep an open mind and think first.
MB: Listen carefully.
What are your tips for a successful event?
AG: Keep your eyes open and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
What is the single thing you would like people to know about The Hub?
MB: The building was built and designed by Pugin who also designed the Palace of Westminster and was built as the Assembly Hall for the Church of Scotland.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
AG: Never buy any wooden nickels.
MB: Measure twice, cut once!
What’s your favourite place in Edinburgh?
AG: The Braids golf course.
MB: Portobello beach on a sunny day.
What is your most treasured possession?
AG: My Golf clubs, all 12 sets.
MB: My two daughters.

AG: A raspberry smoothie.
