This summer, Edinburgh’s landmark venue, The Hub is launching a new wedding package with a distinctly Asian flavour.
The package introduces a new menu for couples looking to celebrate the start of their happily ever after with a traditional focus. The Hub’s expert wedding coordinators will take care of all the finer details, including flowers, decorations, food, drinks, entertainment and the red carpet – allowing the happy couple simply to enjoy their special day.
The Hub’s head chef, Denis Zominy, has created a three course menu inspired by the scents, flavours and spices of South Asia. Selections of two or three canapes per person include a choice of samosas, bhaji and other Indian favourites. Starters include a choice of chicken pakoras, sweet potato curry bites, and cashew nut curry with naan strips.
Onto the mains, couples can choose to indulge guests with a choice of curries, including a cinnamon flavoured creamy chicken korma. All mains can include accompaniments of various rice choices, potatoes and naan bread. To sweeten the deal, guests can also choose from traditional desserts including motichoor rabri, a trifle made from cardamom and saffron fruit sponge and peaches coated with cardamom crème.
The Hub is one of Edinburgh’s most eye-catching wedding venues, sitting on the historic Royal Mile with superb views of the Castle and the Old Town. The Main Hall, Dunard Library and Gallery offer flexible spaces designed for different wedding formats and decorations to suit any couple planning their big day or engagement celebrations, even with a short lead time. The three areas can be hired separately or in combination to cater for small or large gatherings, or can be used as part of a progression of events from pre-reception drinks to full event breakfasts and engagement celebrations. The Hub offers a variety of wedding and event packages to suit different needs and budgets.
