It’s the Scottish Food and Drink fortnight and the perfect opportunity to celebrate the incredible Scottish artisanal suppliers used both in our café and in our delicious menus for our events. From our breads to our coffee, our salmon to our sausages, we love supporting our local and national suppliers in Scotland.
You’ll have a hard time finding a better Scotch egg than the ones we get from Aye Love Real Food. The award winning company specialises in Scotch eggs and uses only the freshest ingredients and award winning free-range eggs, and work with Scottish-owned companies to supply the outer crust and meat wrappings.
We know how important starting your morning with a strong cup of coffee is, which is why we’ve chosen one of the very best Scottish suppliers to provide our coffee beans. Caffia’s slogan is ‘Everything from the bean to cup’ and they have a research lab and showroom in Falkirk which is worth checking out if you’re a coffee lover!
You may have seen our recent blog on Scottish food traditions (link), so you’ll know we have plenty of salmon options on our café menu. All our salmon is sourced from Shetland and supplied by our friends at Campbell Prime Meats – and it sure is delicious.
Look out for next month’s blog on Scotland’s drink industry for some of our favourites.
Well, if you’re not hungry after reading this then we haven’t done our jobs properly. Stop by Cafe Hub between 09.30am – 5.00pm Monday – Saturday or on Sundays between 10.00am – 5.00pm to try some of our exquisite dishes made with the very best Scotland has to offer.
